This project is a case study for rethinking kitchen appliances in order to make them more flexible, more adaptable, and, most important, more portable. Refrigerators are mostly bulky and white, which as an architect, many times when dealing with a small area project, they become a big problem, and many times they take control of the whole design decision. Furthermore, as our lifestyle today turns to be more and more portable-oriented, it is expected that the entire living unit, including all our objects, would become more compact and portable. Also, for students or any person who is used to change flats occasionally, this product can be a back-saver.
IF suggests a flexible, lightweight, compact, and multi color refrigeration solution for the home. It is made of an inflatable Air-Beam with soft Rockwool insulation material (that usually used in houses). Like that it can be fit to many spaceless situations in different spaces, as one element or separated elements. Tip: It can be used as a wardrobe if u skip the compressor.
